Passenger points: A bare-ass review of what it is as far as what my friend got.

Seats. That start at the dash and stop at the taillamp. A cocoon of leatherette and airbag curtains. Just the thing for carting the grandkids in modern comfort.

No AV multitainment console. One batch of velcro on a iPad and done.

Brought back memories of the giant 3-row Chevy wagons of yore, but in this case it fills it up more efficiently.

Cupholders. I believe there may be more holders than seats. What sense is that without a drain?

Rear seat controls for heat and radio. I guess for the mid-car semi-adult who takes care of the 3rd row.

There's an AC inverter plug, that's about it in exotic accessory other than

Tow Package. With Tow Package Dash Button. Specialized and hopefully dynamic to adapt the traction control to the situation.

Not sure where groceries go what with all the seats. Oh, the tow package.

It can baby almost up to Romney-level of progeny.

Other factors: I feel they probably, maybe got a good deal, due to the dual factors of obsolete brand name and that pesky ignition switch thing. Very few quality issues, like the rear controls that need a cover over the wires because kids .

Otherwise, seems fairly solid, probably useless in snow (2wd) but yes, better than the prior 98 Taurus that was down to 85% trim retention.

Good going.

All I did was just not-object. There's some weird history that prevented consideration of Subarus.. so I guess the oh-we're-not-going-for-Outback's-market Outlook. Decently appointed, but not to the point of 'why is this even here?' For that, I believe the sister ship Buick Enclave probably has that niche taken care of.

7/10 would sit again. Bonus for rear heat/cooling controls, negative points for not really being quite enough. You want too much and then back one notch.

Primary new-car issue they are having: finding the car in the parking lot. Because SUV styling.
